The St. Clair County Clerk's Office reserves the right to deny applications that are submitted electronically for any reason.
 

To apply and pay online please complete the AFFIDAVIT FOR LICENSE TO MARRY and submit. If either applicant resides in St. Clair County the application fee will be $20, if neither applicant is a county resident the application fee will be $30. If you are a resident of Michigan, you must apply in the county one or both of you reside in. If you are not a resident of Michigan, you must apply in the county where you will be married.

Application will NOT be processed until payment is complete. The 3 day waiting period also begins upon receipt of payment.

If you elect to pick your license up in person at least one of the applicants will have to appear in person at the St. Clair County Clerk's Office, 201 McMorran Blvd, Port Huron, MI after the three day waiting period to receive the marriage license. The applicant(s) will be required to present the birth certificates of both applicants and supply the social security numbers of both applicants. If you elect to have your marriage license mailed to you, you will receive an email requiring you to proof your application and provide further information. Please be aware of this as it will directly affect the timeliness of the completion of your process.
